The April survey found 27 per cent of respondents would vote for separation, while 67 per cent would vote against.
"It’s part of this overall trend that we’re seeing," said Calgary-based pollster Janet Brown.
“People are feeling more comfortable with Alberta’s role in Canada, more comfortable with Ottawa, more comfortable with the prime minister.
“And all of those things seem to have caused a slight dip in the proportion of Albertans ready to vote to separate,” said Brown.
