Survey results support oil, gas industry living up to commitments - December 13, 2025

The public opinion poll was prepared by Janet Brown Opinion Research and released during the recent Rural Municipalities of Alberta (RMA) Association convention.

The poll found that 92 per cent support oil and gas companies being responsible for the final clean-up of well, 87 per cent support the government requiring industry to cover unpaid property taxes to municipalities, and 84 per cent support the government requiring industry to cover unpaid rents to landowners.
