There’s also the fact that, for all the noise, the polling on independence hasn’t really changed. Alberta pollster Janet Brown has consistently found that fewer than three in 10 Albertans support independence. Anything can happen in an election campaign, but Brown, for now, thinks those numbers are pretty solid. “Most people are locked in on this one,” she said.
