Do you feel safe in downtown Edmonton?- March 10, 2026

Edmontonians want to feel safer in the downtown core. CBC commissioned a Janet Brown Opinion Research poll in October for the municipal election. It showed that over 80 per cent of respondents wanted the new Edmonton city council to address public disorder downtown. The Edmonton Police Service plays a big role in helping address these concerns.
